The numbers you type into a calculator (salary, rent, investments, etc.) are processed in your browser to run the calculation and are sent to our AI chat endpoint only when you actively send a message to the AI advisor, so it can give you a relevant answer. We do not save this data to a database — once you close the tab, it's gone.
We use PostHog and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site — which calculators get used, where people drop off, and which AI advisor modes are popular — so we can improve the product. These tools may use cookies and record anonymised session activity (clicks, scrolls, page views). Financial input fields are masked in session recordings and are never captured as readable text.
Messages you send to the AI advisor are sent to our third-party language-model providers (Groq and Cerebras) to generate a response, and are not used to train their models on your specific data beyond that single request. Conversation history is kept only in your browser session.
Since we don't store your financial inputs server-side, there is no personal financial data for us to delete on request. If you have questions about data we hold (such as anonymised analytics), email hello@rupeeconomy.in.
